For the purpose of conserving natural resources and preventing ecological despoliation, improvement of wear resistance and decreasing friction resistance is strongly required. Our laboratory deal various issues in order to contribute toward improve tribological materials.

1. Development of high wear resistance PTFE composites.

2. Improvement of wear resistance of thermal sprayed metal films.

3. Reduction of wear of artificial hip joint for human body.

4. Analysis of the frictional meanism of thin film lubrication.

5. Development of high-temperature use self lubricating alloy
